Let’s go one item at a time. First, the Marvel UK Twitter account announced that the film’s UK release date has been pushed up by three days, from Friday, October 28 to Tuesday,October 25. It’s not a massive change, but it’s still good news for British Marvel fans eager to meet the franchise’s latest hero.
Sadly, there’s no good news here for American Marvel fans. TheDoctor StrangeUS release date remains the same: it’ll arrive hereNovember 4, after the film has already opened in much of Asia, Europe, and other overseas markets.

One of the countries who’ll get to seeDoctor Strangebefore we do is Australia, where it arrivesOctober 27. Theaters in the area have started prepping for the rollout, and a chain calledEvent Cinemashas apparently revealed theDoctor Strangeruntime. According to their listing, the film clocks in at 130 minutes.
That’s well within the normal range for these films —Doctor Strangeis shorter than recent Marvel pics likeCaptain America: Civil War(147 minutes) andAvengers: Age of Ultron(141 minutes) but longer than last year’sAnt-Man(117 minutes). And compared to this year’s other major superhero blockbusters,Doctor Strangeis right in the middle, with the quick and dirtyDeadpool(108 minutes) and the butt-numbingBatman v Superman(151 minutes) on either end of the spectrum.
While you consider how to plan forDoctor Strange’s 130-minute runtime, here’s something else for you to mull over. The Marvel Russia Twitter account has shared the latest new photo of Cumberbatch in full costume as Strange. Okay, so it’s not strikingly different from everything we’ve seen before. But it is a pleasant reminder that yes, this movie is coming; yes, Benedict Cumberbatch can rock the hell out of a superhero cape; and yes, that is a really nice window that you should try to recreate in your own home.
