THRreports Mitchell is in talks to play an “easygoing pilot” in the Legendary / Universal monster movie.Tom Hiddlestonhas been set to lead for several months, and Hawkins,Brie Larson,John C. Plot details are being kept vague, but the story follows “a team of explorers venturing into the mysterious, creature-laden isle that is also the home of the king of the apes.“Straight Outta Comptonhas been one of this summer’s big success stories, raking in $114 million in less than two weeks and earning glowing critical praise to boot. It’s looking like a launching pad for its young cast of mostly unknowns, including Mitchell —Kong: Skull Islandis his first deal sinceStraight Outta Comptonopened.
