Spoiler-Free Early Buzz: Harry Potter And The Cursed Child

Its been five years since we last saw the Wizarding World on screen. Later this year we will return to the Wizarding World in the movie “adaptation” ofFantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, but that is merely a spin-off. If you want to see a proper Harry Potter sequel, you’ll have to head to London’s West Hollywood End to see JK Rowling new playHarry Potter and the Cursed Childthis summer. The production promises to follow the Boy Who Lived well into adulthood, starringJamie Parkeras a middle-aged Harry Potter, now a father of three, whilePoppy Millerplays Ginny andSam Clemmetttheir son Albus.

Today the first preview performance ofHarry Potter and the Cursed Child Part Onejust happened, and the first reactions have hit the web. Until today it didn’t really hit me that there will be a continuation of the Harry Potter story, and after seeing these reactions and photos I’m now very excited to see this and read the script book (and we know it will very likely eventually be made into a movie). Lets take a look at what people are saying in the first Harry Potter and the Cursed Child reviews and reactions, and don’t worry, we’ll “keep the secrets” — this is spoiler-free.

But to be honest, we don’t know a whole lot about the story because JK Rowling has been keeping it secret. She has even asked those who attend the performance in London to “Keep The Secrets,” and it looks like the story promises to have some big twists.  First up here is a video message from JK Rowling asking fans to keep the secrets:

What follows are tweets from those who attended the first preview. Here are a look the scene from the theatre:
